It's Time to Get Reconnected!

Dear Athletes:

Paul Poce and I would like to introduce you to our club and athlete development programme. After graduation you may be interested in continuing your running/racing career. If you're moving to Toronto for employment or just interested in relocating, then we would like to present you with an opportunity to continue running/racing. Whether the reason is purely for the love of the sport, or making your first national team, or perhaps wanting to see how far running may take you, it’s important to find a stable, supportive training environment where you can pursue those goals. Athlete development is a priority for TOC. We invest a great deal of time, effort and financial resources in our athletes, from whom we hope to produce the next group of Canadian champions and Olympians. However, TOC supports a range of athletes. It's not only for those who are genetically gifted. If you're committed to the sport and the effort it requires, there is a place for you. We are recognized as one of Canada’s pre-eminent distance clubs and our mandate is to provide the coaching and training environment that will assist our members in developing to their fullest potential. Our commitment is to maintain the following elements of excellence:

We are constantly upgrading our athlete services, and the opportunities provided to our members. In 2009, three of our senior athletes and one coach travelled to Europe to compete in three meets over a two week period. In 2010, not only will we return to Europe but we will also be travelling to the West Coast for the Brutus Hamilton and Mt. SAC meets to kick off the outdoor season. These programs will continue each outdoor season. As a result, all of our athletes continue to profit from their association with T.O.C. and the opportunities provided.

Unquestionably there is a significant difference between your athletic life at school and that of a senior competitor living in Canada. Our priority is to provide dedicated coaching and a quality training environment and group, comprised of post collegians just like you. Our mission is to create conditions where you can flourish, whether that means setting a new PR or qualifying for international competition. We would be happy to hear from you. You can contact us at either of the telephone numbers and/or email addresses below, our club website www.torontoolympicclub.com, or our Facebook Group.
