Ian Donald

Ian began his running career at a young age and joined the Ottawa Lions Track Club at age 12. As a high school athlete, Ian was a three-time OFSAA medalist, coached the young distance athletes at Ottawa Lions, coached the youth/masters swimmers at Swim Ottawa, and shifted athletic goals to pursue triathlon under the Regional Triathlon Centre in Guelph, ON.

At 18, Ian competed for Canada at the World Junior Triathlon Championships and placed 42nd. He continued to pursue triathlon and varsity running until his 3rd year of university and now continues running to stay fit and make sure he can keep up with his athletes during warm-up!

Ian works in Outdoor Education as an Instructor & Administrator, building on his love for coaching and teaching youth in the outdoors. He loves watching the TOC junior team learn about becoming endurance athletes and enjoy running the way he always has.
