2024 Athletics Ontario Outdoor Track and Field Championships
July 26-28, 2024
The Provincials for U14, U16 and U18 was held over 3 hot summer days at the Terry Fox Stadium in Brampton. Our junior team has been preparing for this all summer long and it was their chance to see how they match up against their rivals from across Ontario.
In the U14 category, we have LK (U12) racing in the 2000m and 1200m finishing with huge PB’s in both races. Kyle L also raced in the 2000m and 1200m with 4th places and PB’s for both event. Kyle also competed in the U16 1500m Steeplechase. It was his first steeplchase with a amazing 6th place among the U16 boys. George B raced against 21 others in the 800m setting a time of 2:47.38.
In U16’s, we have Carmen B in the 200m dash and 800m with fast times of 28.19 and 2:27.01 respectively.
Finally in the U18, Brianna L finished 9th in the 3000m and the 1500m in 5:05.17.Brianna also raced a week earlier in the U20 2000m Steeplechase where she brought home a bronze medal.
