Youth Indoor Track

The indoor track season refers to indoor track racing, which the club continues to train outdoors in High Park for two of the three weekly practices. The Thursday sessions are held indoors at the Toronto Track and Field Centre, located on York University’s Keele Campus. The indoor season begins after the cross-country season concludes, typically near the end of the year, and runs until late March or early April. Training through the winter months is essential for maintaining and building athletic development.
Indoor tracks, also known as short tracks, measure 200m in length, half the size of standard 400m outdoor tracks. During this season, we register our youth athletes for races ranging from 800m to 3000m. Key events include Athletics Ontario’s provincial championships and Athletics Canada’s national championships. Additionally, some of our elite athletes compete in prestigious U.S. meets, such as the New Balance Indoor Nationals in Boston and the Nike Indoor Nationals in New York City. These events require qualification times, which can be achieved at races held here in Canada.
We are accepting new registrations for 2025, contact us to chat more about your goals and plans.
